https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/388

The objective of the present research was to analyze the importance of the agility approach within strategic planning as part of the managerial process of virtual education carried out in Venezuelan private universities. In this sense, it is taken into consideration that managerial practice has been adapting to the changes demanded by society, industry, and commerce at a global level. In this way, the university sphere does not escape these changes, as it is essentially constituted by business organizations with characteristics similar to those of other industries. Regarding the methodology employed, it was carried out through non-experimental research, with a field design and descriptive level. Likewise, the information collected was obtained through the survey technique, which used a questionnaire as an instrument resulting from the operationalization of the research objectives. Texts by authors recognized for their contributions to strategic planning under the agility approach were consulted, while a non-probabilistic intentional sample was applied to professionals in managerial and decision-making positions within the organizational structure of Venezuelan private universities. The findings underscore that strengthening leadership is crucial for the effective implementation of management strategies that promote adaptation to VUCA environments, which requires establishing continuous training and human talent development programs within universities.
George Herney Cárdenas Cumare

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/390

In this article, a relational data model was developed based on the movements of an accounting system and through the business intelligence facilities of the Excel, Power Query and Power Pivot add-ons, was achieved the dynamic visualization of the three major financial statements. In that direction, it is shown how these complements can help those in charge of finances to prepare a financial report with the reliability needed to better understand an organization's current financial situation. Therefore, the proposed objectives were: a. Development of a methodology to obtain the most important financial reports b. Determine if the methodology is consistent with a data model built for another application, Power BI, and with accounting standards for presenting those reports. It was demonstrated that it is feasible to obtain the report of the three financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow) in a dynamic and coherent way. Therefore, a procedure was carried out to verify the correspondence of values of the Income Statement report with the amounts in the items of a Profit and Lost report, prepared with the Power BI application by the ZEBRA BI organization and, on the other hand, in the Balance Sheet was evidenced the correspondence of assets and liabilities. It is established that: with this methodology can be made use of the facilities of the Excel business intelligence add-ins without the need to invest in a formal business intelligence application.
Orlando José Yaguas

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/392

Interculturality is a political-epistemic tool that questions and challenges Eurocentric universalism, being an alternative conducive to symmetrical dialogue between cultures, arising from the tensions with Western modernity. By virtue of the above, the purpose of the research was to analyze the relationship between critical interculturality, decoloniality and social representations. Methodologically, we resorted to the qualitative paradigm and the application of the documentary exploration method. Among the main findings, the critique of functional interculturality, which reproduces colonial hierarchies, was highlighted, while critical interculturality, a political and epistemic project that promotes dialogue between different social actors, questioning the foundations of the instrumental rationality of modernity, was explored in depth. Within this discussion, social representations emerge as non-neutral constructions that challenge the folkloric vision of interculturality, vindicating the role of alternative narratives in contemporaneity. It was concluded that interculturality implies processes of resistance and social transformation, of recognition of vulnerable sectors. Its raison d'être lies not only in philosophy or in the educational act, but in alternative proposals to decolonize knowledge and deconstruct power.
José Alvarado

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/393

Oral health is essential in human life. Hence, the insistence on educating people about the care and development of oral hygiene habits. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of teeth for health, personal appearance, and self-esteem. Thus, when each person does not make a personal commitment to regularly visit the dentist, diseases such as gingivitis and, in its most aggressive stage, periodontitis, which leads to tooth loss, arise. The purpose of this research was to review the literature on periodontal diseases that impact tooth loss. It is based on documentary research; therefore, it is a review article. For this purpose, the following search engines were used as search strategies: (a) PubMed, (b) Google Scholar, (c) SciELO, (d) Google, and (e) Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, as Artificial Intelligence tools. Among other things, the following conclusions were reached: The absence of teeth not only affects masticatory function, but also has aesthetic and psychological repercussions for patients. Tooth loss due to periodontitis is not an isolated oral problem; it is also linked to systemic diseases such as diabetes, since cardiovascular disease can develop, because bacteremia, caused by periodontal infections, can contribute to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.
Adriana Briseida Contreras Parra

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/394

Managerial strategies tend to have a significant impact on organizational decisions. Their foundation is based on the various scenarios that department leaders must consider in order to obtain sufficient information to effectively steer business interests. In this sense, the multidimensional competitive key becomes a high-level corporate tactical instrument that seeks to integrate certain components that drive production processes in a consistent and assertive manner. The objective of this article is to understand the components involved in the multidimensional competitive key, which support managerial decision-making based on strategic scenarios that drive operational efficiency. This research is framed within the interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative documentary approach, employing content analysis to uncover information. The results indicate that the absence of competitive elements such as frugal innovation and antifragility ultimately determines decision-making. The conclusions show that simply remaining alert to global changes is not enough; it is important to manage perspectives of self-production and self-organization that lead to choosing appropriate and effective actions for organizations. This stems from internal and external growth, which require practical direction, a hierarchical structure, and a productive development program based on full cooperation and corporate ownership.
Wladimir Chacón Paredes

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/397

This study reviews recent advances in the use of nanomaterials for the efficient capture and storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG), with emphasis on technologies that improve safety, reduce energy costs, and increase methane sequestration capacity. The research was developed between 2014 and 2024, through a systematic review of experimental studies and computational simulations published in international scientific databases. Materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), activated carbon, carbon nanotubes and functionalized graphene were analyzed. The results show that MOFs stand out for their high adsorption capacity (>200 v/v at -160 °C and 4 MPa), attributed to their large surface area (>5000 m²/g) and tunable porosity. Also, cryogenic nanofluids have been shown to be effective in enhancing heat transfer during liquefaction. The main conclusions indicate that these nanomaterials have a high potential to optimize LNG storage and transport systems, especially through the implementation of modular solutions. However, limitations related to scalability and long-term stability under cryogenic conditions are identified. In summary, nanomaterials represent an innovative alternative to increase efficiency in natural gas value chains, thus contributing to a more sustainable energy transition.
Kelvin Cabrera Wakefield Cabrera

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/401

The emergence of new knowledge is inextricably linked to the techniques of observation and reconstruction of reality: reality generates many more possibilities than the observer can process; this is where complexity lies. Since its inception, Systems Theory has sought mechanisms to meet this demand for information produced by social systems. Law is no exception to this situation. Through an analytical reconstruction, this brief essay seeks to categorize the basic function of Law from the perspective of Complexity, not only through systemic conceptual categories, but also through its place in a legal science in which complexity is the guiding concept of the understanding and explanation that Law, as a social practice, produces. Law is a social system; as such, it processes and generates information. In this sense, it is a highly structured and codified communicative process. This essay addresses this idea of Law: how Systems Theory and the complexity paradigm can be useful for understanding legal phenomena. To do this, it is necessary to understand the fundamental conceptual categories of complexity, its perspectives in law, and how to reformulate law itself based on these.
Josué Fossi

https://lapasiondelsaber.ujap.edu.ve/index.php/lapasiondelsaber-ojs/article/view/403

The graduate in Bioanalysis is consolidating as a fundamental network actor, capable of articulating knowledge, technologies and social practices in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. This reality demands a permanent adaptation and an innovation-oriented training that prepares professionals to face the emerging challenges of personalized medicine, genomics and global health. The future of the profession depends on the ability of its protagonists to function in this fluid context, transforming data into accurate diagnoses and contributing to the construction of a more efficient and equitable health system, while developing competencies in increasingly diverse fields. This essay reflects on the praxis of the Bioanalysis graduate in the light of current social transformations. It offers a critical analysis of the new professional realities from an epistemological perspective, recognizing the changing dynamics of the sector within the framework of the Actor-Network Theory and liquid modernity. The emergence of increasingly fluid professional roles, determined by automation, digital transformation and interdisciplinarity, emerges from this reflection.
Aura PalenciaMilagros Espinoza
