The constant changes and technological advances have entered into all aspects of life, specifically in the educational field at the university level, considerable transformations have been developed that allow reality to be simplified and addressed in ways that were not possible to handle before; Subjects with complex contents because they require various mental processes have been the object of study in order to provide tools that make them more understandable, such is the case of Statistics, which in general terms is not very well accepted by the student body. However, in recent years, the incorporation of technological tools has meant that subjects such as Statistics are developed with a vision focused on the interpretation of data rather than on memorizing formulas and issuing a calculation. The José Antonio Páez University promotes teaching using information and communication technologies, so it is of interest to determine the strengths and weaknesses for the possible incorporation of statistical software in the teaching of Statistics, for this purpose 117 students were consulted of Statistics I and II of the regular cycle 1/2024 in the Faculty of Social Sciences, who 93.16% indicated their willingness to said integration, considering it as a technological advance and a benefit in their professional training.
