Digital advance for bite registration with the OccluSense® System

Abstract

The technological advancement represented by the OccluSense® system offers an innovative alternative to improve the accuracy of dental occlusion measurement, which raises the quality of dental care and increases patient satisfaction. This system allows for accurate digital recording of the bite using a sensor placed between the teeth that sends data to a mobile application. This research analyzes the advantages of digital occlusion analysis using OccluSense® addressed through documentary, descriptive research, narrative reviews of the state of knowledge. The documents related to this research were searched through search engines such as Google Scholar and databases in Spanish “avance digital, registro de mordida, sistema OccluSense®” as well as in English. In relation to the search strategy, Boolean operators AND or OR will be used to combine the descriptors mentioned. Through this, a total of 91 publications were located and with the selection criteria, 25 articles and clinical cases were chosen, which meet the appropriate characteristics to respond to the objectives set forth in this research
