The purpose of this research was to design an inductive program aimed at reducing the socioemotional impact on the 10th semester student of the University José Antonio Páez in rural extramural internships, based on the learning theories of Vigostky, Ausubel and Tobón's Socioformative. Quantitative descriptive research was conducted with a cross-sectional field design in the feasible project modality in its first three phases; the population and the intentional sample consisted of 40 students of the tenth semester of the Dentistry career at the José Antonio Páez University; the survey technique was used through a questionnaire designed based on 15 items with polychotomous answers in Likert scale, previously submitted to validity and reliability tests. The results showed failures in the academic preparation for rural extramural internships and the presence of signs of socioemotional affectation at the expense of such activity. In conclusion, there is a need to incorporate an Induction Program for Rural Extramural Internships for Dentistry Students at the Universidad José Antonio Páez as a curricular strategy in order to adequately prepare the student and foresee the socioemotional impact they can generate; its design according to the diagnosis, feasibility studies and support in the learning theories; the instructional design was carried out in five blocks, to be incorporated from the 5th to the 9th semester with their corresponding hourly loads, credit units, terminal objectives, contents, evaluation and suggested instructional strategies.
