LA IDENTIDAD LOCAL EN LA URB. SANTA INÉS: UNA FORMA DE APRENDIZAJE A TRAVÉS DEL RELATO DE VIDA DE SUS HABITANTES

The present research had as main objective to analyze the transformation of the geographic space and historical development of the Santa Inés Neighborhood located in the Rafael Urdaneta Parish, Valencia Municipality, Carabobo State, through an experiential study of approach to its inhabitants and teachers as a tool for strengthen the local identity, based on the problems observed in the community, as they do not have archives of their historical evolution and the inhabitants' lack of knowledge about the locality, reinforcing the importance of local history from the school to the community as a tool for a sense of belonging and identity. The research was developed under the methodology of the geohistorical approach with a descriptive-qualitative typology, framed on a field design that allowed to collect the necessary information for the analysis of the study.The data collection was carried out through the application of a semi-structured interview to students and teachers of the “Santa Inés School” as well as inhabitants of the community, this will allow to determine the importance that the local history has as a tool to reinforce the identity and sense of belonging within the communities by strengthening among them their origins, customs and lifestyles.
