Abstract

The purpose of the research was to reflect on emotional intelligence and its influence on the work performance of human talent: an experience in Venezuela. It focuses attention on the axes: a) Emotional intelligence. b) Influence on the work performance of human talent. Theoretically the study was focused by the Theory of Emotional Intelligence Goleman (2008), (2013) the methodological aspect, is framed in a field study, with non-experimental design, is supported by the qualitative approach and the postpositivist paradigm, empirical in nature, with descriptive depth, because it describes and interprets part of a reality. It assumes the hermeneutical phenomenological method. The following techniques were used to collect the information: observation, documentary review. The instrument used was the survey, with the support of the open questionnaire technique, applied to twelve (12) professionals from Venezuelan organizations. The findings show that: a) emotional intelligence is complex and affects all the actions of the human being with positive influence on the work performance of human talent in Venezuelan organizations, b) it should be seen as a tool, a particular and individual factor, c) applied effectively, it serves as a contribution to management schemes, Knowledge management and human talent, which invites organizational reflection.
