2.0 TOOLS AND THE MOODLE PLATFORM: MEANS TO PROMOTE COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT
Keywords:
2.0 Tools, Moodle, Communication ManagementAbstract
Communication is carried out through the social interaction of media, symbols and messages; highlighting the significant evolution that the media has presented in recent decades, due to the presence of the new code: the digital (Mora, 2001). In this sense, digital communication is currently a disciplinary field of study in universities, with high demand for knowledge of its new forms and applications in different fields (Herrera, 2009). Under these premises, it is necessary to carry out educational practices that develop skills in the use of Web 2.0 tools that allow them to be used efficiently in organizational and managerial settings. Thus, an experience was developed with the participants of the subject Information Technology Tools of the Master's Program in Organizational Communication Management, in the academic period 20112CP, whose purpose was to integrate 2.0 tools and the Moodle platform in the communication management. For which the procedure proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart (1992) was followed to conduct a research under the action research modality, starting from the initial reflection mentioned above, a set of activities was carried out in an online course hosted on the platform Moodle, which allowed the conceptual and procedural management of 2.0 tools for the search and organization of information, as well as the management of documents, collaborative documents, videos and social networks.
