RESEARCH IN THE PETROLEUM LAW CHAIR AT THE JOSE ANTONIO PÁEZ UNIVERSITY

The University Law in force in Venezuela establishes three areas that these Institutions must develop in our country, these are Teaching, Research and Extension. These activities that are carried out by law, mainly in teaching, are limited in extension and research, specifically in undergraduate programs, otherwise in postgraduate programs, due to the lines and topics that continue to maintain a concentration with scientific rigor. The objective is to analyze the connection of Research within the academic activities of the Petroleum Law Chair of the José Antonio Páez University. The specific objectives: Determine the legal regulations that promote and regulate research in the Venezuelan University sector, analyze the existing situation regarding scientific research within the Petroleum Law Chair of the UJAP, establish the areas on which scientific research could be developed. within the Petroleum Law Chair of the UJAP. This work is developed under the modality of Phenomenological Research, framing it as exploratory Legal research. The design used is mixed, combining documentary review with field work carried out by the researcher, using their own data collection and analysis techniques, as well as an exploratory level, as the problem is novel and current. Venezuela has several regulations that support research, such as the University Law, along with sub-legal instruments of the University sector, the Simon Bolívar Plan 2007-2013, LOCTI.
