THE TECHNOLOGY OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION (ICT): NEW EDUCATIONAL PARADIGM AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION

Nowadays, education requires innovating the strategies used to achieve knowledge in different educational areas. This suggests rethinking the need to deepen about new elements to achieve the projected requirements. In order to respond to the prevailing demands of the education system and the cognitive progress of the new generations, there is currently a plurality of tools offered by Technology. That is why the purpose of this article is to guide the possibility of a paradigm shift as an alternative in secondary education, through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The article was carried out under the qualitative methodology, the descriptive approach, the research line: Management and Education and the theory of learning was placed in constructivism. Technology in this 21st century has become a primordial tool for the different tasks of the individual's daily life. Besides communicating and informing, it also facilitates and speeds up the work in any company and institution, be it public or private. So, the use of ICT is proposed as a flying buttress in the educational area both in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and in Latin America.
