Video tutorial on special stains for microorganisms applied to cytological samples, addressed to Cytochemistry students, Arturo Michelena University, 2022

The present investigation is framed in a field design, descriptive of a quantitative nature, cross-sectional under the modality of feasible project. With the objective of developing a video tutorial on special staining for microorganisms applied to cytological samples, aimed at students of Cytochemistry, Arturo Michelena University, 2022. Likewise, the population consisted of 22 students of the Cytochemistry subject, of which were taken as a sample. 18 students under an intentional non-probabilistic criterion. In addition to this, the inclusion criteria were used as a basis, which correspond to the students who took said subject and the students who did not take the same were immersed in the exclusion criteria. The survey was acquired as a methodological technique, preparing pre and post dichotomous questionnaires as a data collection instrument, which were validated by three experts, a professional with a degree in Cytotechnology, a graduate in Histotechnology and a Methodologist. Regarding the reliability of the instrument, the Kuder Richardson coefficient was reduced. Next, after the application of the proposal to the selected sample and the analysis of the results, the author concluded that 100% of the respondents thought that there is a great need to implement a video tutorial on special colorings for microorganisms, to expand the audiovisual resources. in the institution, in a guaranteed way through a didactic tool the cognitive process of the students and help to promote professional growth in the area of cytotechnology.
