Abstract

The evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) in ergonomic risk analysis has been significant, improving the precision and efficiency of workplace condition assessments. Traditionally, ergonomic analyses relied on direct observations and manual evaluations, which were limited and subjective. However, with the advancement of AI, systems can now process large amounts of data to identify patterns and predict potential ergonomic issues, reducing the risk of workplace injuries. AI applied in this field uses machine learning algorithms to study repetitive movements, improper postures, and other factors that can lead to discomfort or long-term injuries. This technology not only allows for more accurate assessments but also enables timely preventive interventions, improving employee health and well-being. Additionally, the integration of technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and digital human twins has further transformed ergonomic analysis. VR allows for the simulation of work environments and the experience of real-time interactions without any risk to the worker. On the other hand, the digital human twin, a virtual replica of an individual, facilitates the analysis of personalized movements and postures, enabling ergonomic interventions tailored to each person. Together, these technologies provide a more advanced, precise, and personalized approach to the analysis and prevention of ergonomic risks in the workplace, optimizing safety and productivity.
