Current educational theories guide the educational process towards learning to learn. Pólya recommends understanding the problem, establishing, executing and evaluating a plan as a method for solving problems in the personal and professional social context. By internalizing this sequence, you can achieve autonomy of thought. To reveal the cognitive strategies put into practice by the student to learn in a context enriched with ICT, a blended course was designed on the Acropolis platform, based on Moodle, of the José Antonio Páez University, to mediate the subject Statistics II, Fifth Semester, Industrial Engineering Career, section 305I2, night shift made up of 32 students, who applied Pólya's method to solve statistical problems. The descriptive naturalistic method, interpretive paradigm, was used to listen and evaluate, through content analysis, the voices and tones of the students in their interventions in the discussion forums, also observing the actions carried out in the learning encounters. The students analyzed the exercises, identifying relevant data, translating the formulated approaches into mathematical language, developing the procedure for testing the statistical hypotheses and evaluating the result to make contextualized decisions based on the hypothesis. Also, they generated new ways of understanding and managing information and collaborative work, supporting each other to solve the problems raised, they changed their attitude, becoming active agents enthusiastic about learning, they attended academic meetings punctually and massively and participated spontaneously as a result of trust. acquired through the interactive process.
