The University of the 21st Century: between ethics and public policies.

Universities, as training and research institutions, play a crucial role in society, which makes them spaces where ethical dilemmas must be addressed rigorously and transparently. Hence, the general purpose of the research is aimed at: Understanding the impact of public policies on higher education, from an ethical perspective. In terms of theoretical support, the research was supported by Anscombe's Theories: Ethics of Virtue (1958), Lyotar (1979), Foucault (1983), Nussbaum's Ethics of Virtue (1990), y Cortina (2020). As for the methodological path, the Postpositivist paradigm was used, within the framework of the hermeneutical phenomenological method, and the qualitative approach, where the research was obtained through the open interview applied to three professors from the University of Carabobo. The categories emerged: University Ethics and Public Policies, Sustainability and Ethics and Technology. It was concluded that universities have the duty to train ethical professionals committed to society.
