Abstract

The Rosa Method, which stands for Rapid Office Strain Assessment, is a method created by Dr. Michael Soone of the University of Ontario in Canada. It allows us to calculate the risk level of an office in terms of its seating, height, depth, armrests, and lumbar support, along with the assessment of the monitor, telephone, mouse, and keyboard. It allows us to stratify whether we are working at a station within good design parameters or not, to avoid work-related fatigue from computer exposure. Likewise, in the presentation, we show, in our opinion, points for improvement in the inspection in order to propose improvements to points not covered by the method. This same presentation mentions the 12 tips for tablet and cell phone use in teleworking and distance learning presented to the International Ergonomic Association by the Japanese Society of Ergonomics and Human Factors and the Latin American Ergonomics Union. These tips were published by the IEA and indexed for free use by all.
