THE 3D SOCIAL NETWORK, USE AND INTEGRATION IN TEACHING. REFLECTIONS ON ITS DIDACTIC POSSIBILITIES

The extensive recreational and informative use given to various social networks is contrasted with their reduced and dispersed use in educational tasks, and the lack of concrete plans that define the important role of their incorporation in formal and informal studies. This is combined with the need to offer alternatives that benefit the exchange of individual learning experiences. Metaverses, also called 3D virtual worlds, offer extraordinary opportunities for interaction and hypermedia exchange, among them Second Life stands out especially, whose combination with Moodle results in Sloodle technology. In turn, the interaction in these spaces generates the mixture of immersive learning with a social network, which gives rise to the concept of a 3D, or three-dimensional, social network. This work, whose main purpose is to assess the experiences in the use of social networks implicit in metaverses, is framed in a field research of a descriptive nature, whose population is made up of students of the IX semester of computer science education, and for which the as objectives: 1. Define the level of educational intervention through actions in a 3D social network, 2. Contrast the benefits and restrictions related to educational practices in 3D social networks, 3. Analyze the influence of interaction on educational processes social in 3D spaces. As results, verification has been obtained of the beneficial scope of explicit presence and corporeality of 3D worlds in the promotion of social learning, research and autonomy, and exploration of the advantages of Sloodle technology in multimedia exchange and activities. immersion.
