Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between multiple intelligences and academic performance in students of the General Accounting subject assigned to the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the José Antonio Páez University during the academic period 2-2023. It was based on Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences (1983). The study was developed with a quantitative approach, with a field design at a descriptive and correlational, non-experimental level. The population was comprised of 90 students and the sample was comprised of 48 students. To collect information, the survey technique was used, and a questionnaire was used as an instrument. The results obtained from the data analysis allowed us to deduce that there is no statistically significant relationship between the variables, since there are other determining factors of academic performance. Students are recommended to strengthen linguistic-verbal and logical-mathematical intelligence.
